Yorktown resident Lamar Kingwood was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 12 following a search of his residence, Yorktown Police said on Friday, Nov. 15.
According to the department, at 6 a.m. on the day of Kingwood's arrest, Yorktown officers as well as federal and local law enforcement executed a search warrant at his home at the Underhill Crossing apartments on Underhill Avenue.
Inside, investigators found a "large quantity" of phencyclidine (PCP), police said.
Kingwood was then arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. After his processing, he was released on his own recognizance pending an appearance in the Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
